Kevin Magnussen, driver of the Haas VF-24, is on the verge of being banned from Formula 1 races due to his actions during the Miami Grand Prix. Nico Hulkenberg, Magnussen’s teammate, doesn’t understand why there is so much attention around Magnussen’s behavior. Despite being cleared by the stewards at the Miami International Speedway, they recommended that the FIA tighten its regulations for repeat offenses. Hulkenberg, however, is not surprised by Magnussen’s conduct, as the team is currently fighting for seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship. He believes that Magnussen’s aggressive driving was justified to secure valuable points. Magnussen, on the other hand, claims that his tactics were aimed at protecting Hulkenberg’s position, but Hulkenberg disagrees. He suggests that the FIA consider revising the penalty points system. Hulkenberg will move from Haas to Sauber in 2025.
