According to Pramac Ducati pilot Jorge Martin, the main reason for the lack of overtaking in the Italian Grand Prix was the MotoGP pressure rule. Francesco Bagnaia took the lead from Martin on the first lap and maintained control of the race until the end. Despite being close to Bagnaia throughout the race, Martin was unable to make a move due to the pressure limit and the need for the front rider to make a mistake. Martin expressed his disappointment, stating that without the rule, he would have had the opportunity to overtake. However, he ended up finishing third after being overtaken by Enea Bastianini in the final corner. Martin admitted that the mistake was his own, costing him valuable points and reducing his lead in the championship. He promised that such a mistake would not happen again in the future.
