RB is making changes to its Formula 1 car in an effort to improve its performance at the British Grand Prix. The team introduced upgrades at the Spanish Grand Prix, but they did not deliver the desired results. As a result, the team has decided to revert back to a half-upgraded spec machine for this weekend’s race.
RB driver Daniel Ricciardo explained that the team is using a mixture of new and old components in order to find the best setup. Despite the setbacks, both Ricciardo and teammate Yuki Tsunoda see the recent struggles as a learning experience that will benefit the team in the long run. RB currently sits in sixth place in the Constructors’ standings and needs to bounce back in order to maintain its position in the midfield.
