Hyundai announced that it has reached two million units produced of the Tucson, the compact SUV from the South Korean brand launched in 2004 and which has already seen four generations in two decades.
The two millionth Tucson model was produced at the Nošovice factory in the Czech Republic and is configured in the Sailing Blue Pearl color and equipped with the 1.6 T-GDi HEV engine, and is intended for a customer in the United Kingdom.
“Two million units produced at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech is a significant milestone for our global and also European bestseller,” said Michael Cole, President and CEO of Hyundai.
It is worth remembering that the fourth-generation Tucson, currently in production, features a refreshed design, an updated interior, and an improved set of features.
In 2023, 244,495 units of the compact SUV from the South Korean brand were produced, representing about 70% of the total production of the Czech factory. These vehicles were exported to 70 countries worldwide.
