In an upcoming development, the individual working for Red Bull Formula 1 who filed a complaint against team leader Christian Horner has been unsuccessful in their appeal. Earlier this year, the person’s accusation of misconduct against Horner was dismissed, prompting them to exercise their right to appeal. The case was subsequently reviewed by an external barrister, who also dismissed the grievance.
Red Bull GmbH released a statement on August 8, acknowledging the investigation of the complaint against Horner and the subsequent dismissal by an independent KC appointed through the company’s grievance procedure. The complainant then pursued an appeal, which was conducted by another independent KC. The appeal process has now reached its conclusion, with the final decision being that the appeal is not upheld. Red Bull has accepted and adopted the conclusions of the KC.
The internal process has been completed, and the company will not make any further public statements regarding this matter at this time. Red Bull remains dedicated to upholding the highest workplace standards. Throughout this ordeal, Horner has consistently denied any wrongdoing. During a press conference in Jeddah in March, he expressed his disappointment that the alleged leakage of material against him had received significant media attention from senior figures in the world of Formula 1 and journalists.
