Yuki Tsunoda has received a recommendation to consider joining Aston Martin instead of waiting for Red Bull’s parent team to give him a chance. Damon Hill, the 1996 Formula 1 champion, believes Tsunoda should take advantage of his relationship with Honda and the upcoming collaboration between the Japanese brand and Aston Martin in 2026.
Hill suggested that Tsunoda should reach out to Aston Martin, especially since he has outperformed his more experienced teammate Daniel Ricciardo this season. Despite speculation about Ricciardo potentially replacing Sergio Perez at Red Bull, the team has decided to retain Perez for now. Hill also mentioned that Max Verstappen, Red Bull’s star driver, would be content to reunite with Ricciardo as his teammate.
