Aaron Rodgers may be considering retiring from football, but he has no plans to become a broadcaster like Tom Brady. When asked if he would follow in Brady’s footsteps and pursue a broadcasting career after retirement, the future Hall of Famer responded with a resounding “NO.”
During an interview with Boomer & Gio on their popular sports talk show, Gio suggested that Rodgers might explore new adventures in the broadcasting booth after his football career. However, Rodgers quickly dismissed the idea, stating, “That would be a dream, honestly, but NO. Let’s see where the world is heading…” It is now official: Rodgers has no interest in becoming a broadcaster.
As a four-time MVP and an iconic figure in the NFL for nearly 20 years, particularly with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers is now looking beyond football as he approaches his 41st birthday in December. In 2020, he contemplated retirement and even expressed a desire to host Jeopardy!, demonstrating that he has other aspirations beyond the gridiron.
However, coaching is not in the cards for Rodgers. He firmly stated, “Definitely not coaching.” Instead, he expressed a slight interest in management, although it is a minor one. In a playful manner, Rodgers even joked about exploring politics or taking on unconventional roles such as being a sherpa or a hippie.
As Aaron Rodgers enters his 20th NFL season, one thing is clear: he has no intention of following Brady’s path into broadcasting. Meanwhile, Tom Brady is preparing to transition from the intensity of being a quarterback to a more relaxed vibe in the Fox Sports booth this fall. The seven-time Super Bowl champion has signed a $375 million deal to become Fox’s lead NFL analyst, joining forces with Kevin Burkhardt to cover the network’s biggest games of the 2024 season.
Brady’s approach to broadcasting is to tone down the seriousness and critical nature that defined his 23-year playing career. In an interview on the SI Media With Jimmy Traina podcast, Brady shared his plan, stating, “I think analyzing what I see on the field will be relatively straightforward for me. It’s something I’ve done every day. The preparation is what I will truly enjoy. The most important thing for me is to make it fun for people and enhance their viewing experience.”
