The weekly report from the Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE), released this Monday, indicates that the average prices of gasoline and diesel fell by 0.4% for regular 95 gasoline and by 0.1% for regular diesel last week.
According to the ERSE document, the efficient price saw an update, “taking into account the weekly variation in international quotations of regular 95 gasoline at -1.1% and regular diesel at -0.3% respectively”.
Thus, for the week of September 2 to 8, “the Efficient Price before taxes is €0.771 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €0.785 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Efficient Price stands at €1.694 per liter for regular 95 gasoline, and €1.548 for regular diesel”.
ERSE reminds that the efficient price “is a weekly average price estimated by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: the prices of fuels in the international reference markets and the respective shipping costs, primary logistics, including in this portion the strategic and security reserves of the National Oil System, the additional costs associated with the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component plus the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Selling Prices to the Public announced at the portals, and reported in the Single Energy Desk, were 2.9 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline 95, and 5.7 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular gasoline 95 was announced at the portals 1.7% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was announced 3.5% above”, according to the report from ERSE.
