The automotive market in Portugal declined by 8.7% in August with 14,338 registered vehicles; however, Peugeot maintained its market leadership.
According to data from the Portuguese Automobile Association (ACAP), Peugeot’s sales table for light passenger vehicles, with 1,173 registered units, represents a value of 15.9% compared to August 2023.
A Mercedes-Benz, with 1136 units sold, an increase of 4.6% compared to August of last year, secured the second position, while Dacia, which recorded a growth of 14.3% in the eighth month of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, sold 1106 units.
