A Mini is preparing to introduce the new electric John Cooper Works, but the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) has already revealed some details about the new variant of the JCW range.
The images now released by “Carscoops” show the production variant of the John Cooper Works E PROtotype, which features a completely closed grille with the JCW logo and a checkered flag. Additionally, the sporty style is enhanced by side skirts and 18’’ aerodynamically optimized wheels.
The rear stands out with an exclusive bumper that features a painted diffuser and higher reflectors, along with three JCW logos.
Regarding the powertrain, the MIIT reported that the electric “hot hatch” is equipped with a lithium-ion battery that powers an electric motor producing 225 hp, which is 40 hp more than the Cooper SE, and allows it to reach a top speed of 200 km/h.
