In a stunning reveal, the brand-new Haas VF-24 race car has been unveiled for the upcoming 2024 Formula 1 season. Although this isn’t the actual car, but rather an official rendering, fans can expect to see the real deal in action during a shakedown at Silverstone on February 11.
While the design of the car remains largely unchanged from last year’s VF-23, with its predominantly black color scheme, there are a few noticeable differences. The VF-24 boasts a darker appearance, which some may argue is an improvement, but others may find underwhelming. It’s hard to ignore the missed opportunity for the American team to incorporate some Red, White, and Blue elements into their livery, considering they are the only American team on the grid.
Although the nose design appears similar to last year’s, the sidepod inlets have undergone a significant change, reminiscent of Ferrari’s design from the previous season. These modifications hint at potential improvements in performance and aerodynamics.
New team principal Ayao Komatsu expressed his excitement for the upcoming season, acknowledging the work ahead to enhance the VF-24’s performance. With a motivated team and a strong desire to make progress, Haas is eager to hit the track in Bahrain and kick off the season.
After finishing last in the Constructors standings last year, Haas will be aiming to improve their performance. With experienced drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen behind the wheel, surpassing their previous 12-point tally should be within reach. Only time will tell if Haas can make significant strides and compete with the rest of the field.
