Ford Launches New Tourneo Minivan in Australia
In an effort to appeal to a wide range of customers, Ford is set to introduce the Ford Tourneo minivan in Australia later this year. The Tourneo, which aims to bring new levels of versatility to the people-mover segment, will be available in two versions – Active and Titanium X. With space for up to eight people onboard, the Tourneo offers a comprehensive range of standard features, including flexible track-mounted rear seating and power side doors.
The Tourneo is part of the all-new Transit Custom family, which recently received the prestigious 2024 International Van of the Year award. It boasts a range of impressive features, such as sliding second and third rows, a fold-down middle seat for the second row, and the ability to remove all six seats independently. Additionally, the second-row seats can be turned to face rearward, creating a conference-style arrangement.
Under the hood, the Tourneo is equipped with a powerful 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that delivers 125 kW (168 hp) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque. This powertrain, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, provides ample oomph for hauling cargo and towing up to 2,500 kg (5,512 pounds).
Despite its impressive features and capabilities, the Tourneo comes with a premium price tag. The Tourneo Active starts at AUD65,990, while the Titanium X starts at AUD70,990. Optional extras, such as 19-inch wheels and different color choices, come at an additional cost.
Overall, Ford’s new Tourneo minivan offers Australian customers a versatile and feature-packed option in the people-mover segment. With its spacious interior, powerful engine, and range of standard features, the Tourneo is sure to attract attention from those in need of a capable and flexible vehicle.
