Opel is set to release a new electric vehicle called the Frontera, which will be a successor to their previous high riders. The upcoming model features a boxy design with the Blitz logo on the front, resembling the Mercedes GLB to some extent. It is expected to be positioned at the bottom end of Opel’s portfolio, likely replacing the aging Crossland. Despite its compact size, the clever packaging of the Frontera will provide ample interior space. While details about its exact dimensions are still unknown, Kolesa’s rendering artist has depicted it as a subcompact crossover. The artist’s sketch showcases similar design elements to the upcoming model, including LED headlamps, a closed-off grille with the corporate logo, and a large air intake in the bumper. The roofline has an edgy appearance, reminiscent of the Jeep Renegade. The rear of the Frontera features large taillamps and a rear windscreen that further resembles the Renegade. It is speculated that the Frontera took inspiration from the Renegade, and more details about the vehicle will be unveiled later this year. There is also speculation about the possibility of Stellantis rebadging the Frontera as a Dodge for the American market.
