Designed by Axiom Space with Prada’s contribution to both aesthetics and advanced materials, the suit promises not only durability but style, featuring a signature red stripe as a nod to both brands. With a white outer layer to shield astronauts from the Moon’s harsh conditions, the new suit aims to revolutionize spacewear.
Axiom Space President Matt Ondler described the project as a breakthrough in cross-industry innovation, emphasizing that the collaboration “has set a new foundational model.” Prada’s expertise in high-performance materials and precise tailoring contributed to making the suit practical, protective, and visually iconic. The design will still undergo rigorous testing, ensuring it’s ready for lunar dust and extreme temperatures.
