Mercedes-Benz is almost ready to introduce its rival to the Tesla Model 3, the new CLA, a model that aims to redefine access to the Mercedes-Benz brand, raising the standards of product and technology, and which has already been tested by Ola Källenius, the CEO of the German brand.
With a launch scheduled for 2025, the next generation of the CLA is a sporty-looking coupe and the first in a family of models produced based on the new electrified MMA platform. Although the car that CEO Ola Källenius drives in the video is a 100% electric model.
The German brand has already announced that the CLA has been designed to set new standards in terms of range, efficiency, and charging speed, offering customers the choice between an advanced electric propulsion system and a high-tech electrified combustion engine.
The electric version of the CLA incorporates technology from the EQXX concept into mass production. The next-generation electric propulsion unit has been developed in-house, ensuring high performance and efficiency. Thanks to a two-speed transmission, sporty performance and efficiency are perfectly balanced.
The new generation of the CLA will also be available with a recently developed high-tech hybrid combustion engine. This engine, part of the MMA vehicle family, utilizes 48V technology combined with a new electrified transmission to provide a highly efficient and enjoyable driving experience.
Furthermore, the 2025 CLA will be the first vehicle from the German brand to feature the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), which includes the AI-powered MBUX Virtual Assistant. According to the Star brand, this system enhances the driver-car relationship with natural, intuitive interaction and proactive support.
