Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has paid tribute to Max Verstappen following his triumph in Las Vegas, where the Red Bull superstar clinched his fourth consecutive drivers’ championship. At just 27 years old, Verstappen joins an exclusive club of four-time world champions, cementing his place in F1 history alongside legends like Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost.
A dominant season crowned in Sin City
Verstappen’s title-clinching performance came with a measured fifth-place finish at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, comfortably enough to maintain his edge over title rival Lando Norris. While Norris managed the fastest lap in the dying moments of the race, McLaren’s struggles at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit meant Verstappen’s championship was never truly under threat.
The Dutchman’s victory margin of 63 points over Norris puts his dominance this season into perspective, further underlining his reign over Formula 1.
Domenicali’s words of praise
Stefano Domenicali wasted no time in congratulating Verstappen on his remarkable achievement, praising his consistency, skill, and place among the sport’s all-time greats.
“I want to congratulate Max on an incredible season and his fourth world title,” Domenicali said. “He is a true great of this sport and has so much more to look forward to in his impressive career. This season has been thrilling, and 2025 looks set to be even closer.”
The F1 CEO also extended his congratulations to Red Bull Racing for their part in Verstappen’s success. “Congratulations Max and congratulations to all the team at Red Bull,” he added.
The Verstappen era continues
With four consecutive titles under his belt, Verstappen’s dominance is unrivaled in modern Formula 1. Yet, at just 27, his career trajectory suggests there’s even more to come. Domenicali’s comments reflect the anticipation of tighter competition in 2025, as teams like McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes continue to develop in a bid to dethrone the Red Bull ace.
For now, however, the moment belongs to Max Verstappen—a driver who has already achieved greatness and is poised to keep rewriting the record books.
