During the first practice session at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Max Verstappen, from Red Bull Racing, set the fastest time with a lap of 1:29.659s. Fernando Alonso, from Aston Martin, was the closest competitor, finishing less than two tenths behind Verstappen and sandwiched between the Red Bull drivers, with Sergio Perez in third place. George Russell secured the fourth fastest time, followed by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, from Ferrari. Lando Norris, from McLaren, claimed the seventh fastest time, just ahead of fellow countryman Lewis Hamilton. Lance Stroll and Alex Albon completed the top ten positions.
