Oscar Piastri is about to start the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix from the third row on the starting grid. In the previous season, Piastri achieved an impressive second place in the qualifying for the Japanese GP. However, this year, he has struggled and only managed to secure the sixth position on the grid. Despite his own difficulties, Piastri’s teammate was able to secure the third starting position. Piastri acknowledged his challenges during the qualifying session. He also discussed the tires of the McLaren MCL38, noting that as the car becomes faster, it becomes more challenging to manage tire stress on the Suzuka circuit. The team has been working to solve this issue before the race. Piastri believes that McLaren is the second fastest team in Suzuka, but recognizes the threat posed by Aston Martin and Ferrari. Both teams have performed well at the 5.807 km long Suzuka circuit. Despite McLaren’s advantage, they will face strong competition from Ferrari and Aston Martin in the race. It will be intriguing to see which team emerges victorious in the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix.
