BYD has announced that it has reached the milestone of 1000 units sold in Portugal, which is quite an interesting achievement considering that the Chinese brand has not yet completed a year in the national market.
The good performance of BYD Portugal has also been highlighted at the European level, with the national importer reaching the TOP 3 in terms of market share (among all BYD importers in Europe) and being recognized by the brand for this accomplishment.
“BYD is still a recent brand in the Portuguese market, and it is with great satisfaction that we reach 1000 units sold in the national territory in less than a year of activity. This milestone demonstrates the added value and quality of the complete range (Dolphin, Atto3, Seal, Tang, Han, and ETP3) and allows us to project solid growth in 2024,” said Pedro Cordeiro, COO of BYD Portugal, in a statement.
On a global scale, BYD announced in March that it had reached 7 million units produced, after closing the year 2023 with cumulative annual sales reaching 3.02 million units, thus consolidating its status as a global leader in sales of new energy vehicles.
