RB driver Daniel Ricciardo will face a penalty at the upcoming Miami Grand Prix in Formula 1. This penalty stems from his actions during the Chinese Grand Prix, where he overtook Nico Hulkenberg again under the safety car. The incident occurred when Ricciardo was hit by Lance Stroll during the initial restart after the safety car period caused by Valtteri Bottas’ Sauber failure. Stroll collided with the rear of Ricciardo’s car, causing significant damage to both vehicles. As a result, Hulkenberg managed to overtake both drivers and pull away from Ricciardo. However, during a subsequent race suspension, Ricciardo decided to regain his position from Hulkenberg. The stewards deemed this action unjustifiable and imposed a grid penalty for the Miami Grand Prix. This penalty will be served on the grid for the main event on Sunday. Additionally, Ricciardo received two penalty points on his license.
