After winning the race, Milroe approached one of his idols and took a photo together.
Jalen Milroe had the opportunity to meet NBA legend Michael Jordan (Image via IMAGO / X) on Sunday at Talladega. The Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback will certainly remember this moment for a long time. Jordan is the co-owner of 23XI Racing, which participated in the Geico 500, an annual NASCAR event that attracts a large audience. This year, the 23XI Racing driver emerged as the winner, surpassing strong competitors and securing the victory.
After the race, Milroe headed to the pit area to take a photo with Michael Jordan.

For the first time since Milroe joined the Crimson Tide, he will no longer have a veteran coach in the locker room. Saban recently retired from the game and accepted a consulting position within the program.
Alabama wasted no time in naming the former Washington coach as Saban’s replacement. DeBoer, who led the Huskies to the CFP finals in 2023, will have no trouble bringing out the best in Milroe. There are many similarities between Milroe and his former quarterback, which will make their working relationship easier.
Saban played a crucial role in Milroe’s development, always supporting his quarterback even in the face of harsh criticism.
Last season, the Tide managed to secure a spot in the playoffs after Florida State’s eligibility was rejected by the college football committee. However, they were eliminated in the first round by the future CFP champions, the Michigan Wolverines.
As they enter 2024, Milroe is excited for the new chapter ahead.
Despite the disappointment in the playoffs, Alabama still holds the title of SEC champion. Milroe’s impressive performance earned him a spot on the Second Team All-SEC in 2023. He threw for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns, as well as ran for 531 yards and scored 12 touchdowns.
