Felipe Drugovich, a driver in the Aston Martin F1 Team Reserves and Development Program, will join Action Express Racing and Cadillac for the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans. This confirmation was made by both the team and the manufacturer. Drugovich, who was the Formula 2 champion in 2022, will make his debut in the prestigious endurance race alongside Jack Aitken and Brazilian compatriot Pipo Derani. Action Express Racing, known for their participation in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, will compete with a factory-backed Cadillac V-Series.R. This will be their second participation in Le Mans, following their 17th overall and 10th in class finish last year. Drugovich, who has been competing in the European Le Mans Series for Vector Sport this year, will switch from the LMP2 cockpit to a Hypercar seat at Le Mans. The 23-year-old impressed the team with his lap times during testing at Laguna Seca. Drugovich expressed his excitement for the opportunity, stating that the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a historic and magical event of which he is privileged to be a part. Action Express team manager Gary Nelson praised Drugovich’s maturity, discipline, and knowledge, and believes his track record speaks for itself. The 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on June 15 and 16.
