The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, the limited production sports car that pays homage to the Italian brand’s model from the 1960s, has just been awarded the “Best in Classic 2024” prize, organized by the publication Ruoteclassiche.
The new custom car from the Biscione brand, directly based on the Tipo 33, won the “Reloaded” category at the fourth edition of the “Best in Class” awards, which are divided into eleven categories. As usual, it included participation from the magazine’s readers, who chose the winners of the “Classic Car of the Year” and “Classic Car of Tomorrow” elections through their votes on the “Ruoteclassiche” Instagram channel. The other nine awards were given by a jury of experts presided over by the magazine’s director, Gian Luca Pellegrini.
“The new 33 Stradale is a car that manages to be a manifesto for the future while also paying tribute to the past. Its lines follow those drawn in 1967, but they represent the present, new technologies, and new propulsion systems. Lines that shape a dream, which has become a reality for only 33 fans of the brand.”, states the official jury declaration.
The award ceremony for the “Beste in Classic 2024” took place at the Milano Autoclassica hall. “I am very proud to receive this prestigious award, given to the 33 Stradale by ‘Ruoteclassiche’. The 33 Stradale project is the result of the courage of an exceptional team, which has a healthy dash of madness. These are the ingredients that turn dreams into reality. The project aims to pay homage to Franco Scaglione’s masterpiece from 1967 while also anticipating certain distinctive characteristics of future Alfa Romeo models. The result is an authentic manifesto of the capabilities of the Italian brand – now and in the future – in terms of style and driving experience.”, said Alejandro Mesonero, Design Director of Alfa Romeo, upon receiving the award.
It is worth noting that the construction of the limited edition of 33 units of this supercar is done by hand at the Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera facilities, and that the 33 Stradale, in addition to the 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine delivering over 620 hp, also features a 100% electric powertrain capable of producing a maximum power output of over 750 hp.
