Alpine has revealed that it will adopt a vibrant pink color scheme for a total of eight races during the 2024 Formula 1 season. The Anglo-French team unveiled its A524 car with a unique design that combines a carbon base with elements of the traditional Alpine blue and BWT pink colors. While the default color scheme will be used for 16 races, the team will invert it for the remaining eight races on the record-breaking 24-race calendar, featuring a more prominent pink appearance.
BWT, a water treatment company, previously sponsored the team based in Silverstone, which is currently known as Aston Martin. During their partnership from 2017, the Force India and Racing Point cars were famously adorned in a striking pink livery. Even after the team transitioned into Aston Martin in 2021, BWT continued its association, incorporating pink accents into the team’s green-liveried AMR21 car.
When Otmar Szafnauer, the former team principal, joined Alpine at the beginning of 2022, BWT followed suit, bringing the iconic pink color to the team alongside the traditional blue. Alpine showcased an exclusive pink design scheme in the first two rounds of the previous season and continued this trend for the opening three races. Despite Szafnauer’s departure midway through the season, BWT remains a prominent partner of Alpine, with their involvement set to increase even further for the upcoming 2024 season.
