After revealing the original way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the classic James Bond film “Goldfinger,” which marked the beginning of the partnership between the British brand and the most famous of Her Majesty’s spies, Aston Martin has now announced some original details about the DB12 “Goldfinger”.
The impressive exclusive model features interior details adorned with real 18-carat gold, including the central console, as well as the gear selector and driving mode controls.
Another original detail that Aston Martin’s Q personalization division applied to the DB12 “Goldfinger” is the “Eight of Cups,” placed on the driver’s sun visor, in a clear homage to the playing card that appears in the final draw during the pool scene in Miami from the 007 film celebrating its 60th anniversary.
Inside the cabin, this special version of the DB12 is original, while on the outside, Aston Martin opted for a more subtle approach as this Goldfinger Edition features a silver paint application that complements the Silver Birch signature used on Bond’s DB5. Additionally, the exclusive model is adorned with golden details, as well as a unique Aston Martin logo in silver with black enamel. The exclusive 21’’ silver wheels also hide black brake calipers.
It is already known that Aston Martin will produce only 60 units of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition, which, like the “normal” version presented this year, is equipped with a 4.0-liter AMG-sourced twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 680 hp.
