A Aston Martin confirmed that its next model will make use of a new V12 engine, with 835 hp and 1000 Nm of maximum torque that the British brand says has no rival.
The increase in power, compared to the previous V12, is due to an extensive development program of the new V12 engine, which refined the cylinder block, redesigned the cylinder heads and camshafts. In addition, the new turbochargers with lower inertia and higher rotation speed increase performance and throttle response.
The British brand did not reveal many details about the new engine, nor confirmed if it has a capacity of 5.2 liters, but said that the new engine “will achieve unprecedented performance and efficiency,” and revealed a video showing the sound of the new V12 engine.
“The V12 engine has long been a symbol of power and prestige, but it is also a statement of passion for engineering and technology. With 835 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, this unprecedented engine represents nothing less than the birth of a stunning new V12 era for Aston Martin,” said Roberto Fedeli, technical director of Aston Martin.
The British brand also confirmed that the new engine will be available in the most exclusive and limited edition models.
