Audi has unveiled the second generation of the Q5 Sportback, which features a more elegant and sporty design, as well as improved aerodynamics.
The design of the new Audi Q5 Sportback is more elegant compared to its predecessor. The wide Singleframe grille is flanked by generously sized vertical air intakes. The lighting signature features narrow, sharp headlights that convey a more dynamic appearance. At the rear, the highlight is the diffuser integrated into the bumper, while the exhaust system presents two tailpipes.
Based on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the new generation of the Q5 Sportback will be available in Europe with gasoline and diesel engines featuring 48V mild-hybrid technology, along with a V6 gasoline engine in the top-of-the-line version.
At the base of the selection is the 2.0 TFSI with 204 hp (204 cv) and 340 Nm of torque, available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (quattro). The Q5 Sportback 2.0 TDI offers the same power but with a torque of 400 Nm. At the top of the range will be the SQ5 Sportback, equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine producing 367 hp and a maximum torque of 550 Nm.
All versions are equipped with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission and feature the latest generation of the 48V mild-hybrid system (MHEV Plus), which contributes an additional 24 hp and 230 Nm to the total system output. The result is improved performance and greater driving comfort.
Inside, the Q5 Sportback also features more technology, highlighted by an 11.9-inch digital instrument panel, as well as an infotainment system with a 14.5-inch display. Additionally, there is an optional 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger.
Audi has already revealed that the new Q5 Sportback and SQ5 Sportback will be available for order starting in December 2024.
