If Miami makes it deep into the playoffs, which includes the hope of securing a spot in the MLS Cup final, Messi would find it nearly impossible to travel to Europe and return in time to maintain his form and focus. With the stakes so high for Miami, participating in Barcelona’s anniversary gala could prove difficult. However, the club has offered a solution: if Messi and other legends are unable to attend in person, they will have the opportunity to send recorded video messages to be played at the event.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has made it no secret that he was eager to bring Messi back as a player when the Argentinian star left Paris Saint-Germain last year.
