Bentley Motors Europe announced that orders for V8 engine versions of the Continental GT and GTC will be closed in mid-November, in line with the Beyond100 strategy, which aims to offer all models with a hybrid variant option by 2025.
To mark this milestone, Mulliner designers have created five customization packages that enhance the positioning of the S and Azure versions, which can be configured as an additional specification.
Each style package is designed to inspire customers to create their dream Continental GT. Available color options include Key Lime, Vivid Red, Mandarin, Klein Blue, and Turquoise. Additional options can be added to each style package, further enhancing the Bentley grand tourer.
The Crewe brand has announced that the Key Lime pack is inspired by pigments that help energize the travel environment. For the performance-focused GT and GTC S models, Vivid Red is inspired by Vermilion pigments extracted from the terrain of aeolian landscapes, and Mandarin is inspired by the rich tones found in landscapes ranging from Icelandic magma craters to the Namib Desert.
For the Azure models, Klein Blue is inspired by tones taken from ultra-realistic elements of nature, and Turquoise is inspired by the cyanic landscapes of the depths, from Icelandic seas to the lights of the night aurora.
The inclusion of a bold touch of color in each of the interior style packages highlights key elements inside each ‘Curated by Mulliner’ car. This includes the contrasting spokes of the steering wheel and the gear selector, with a harmonious stripe in the handcrafted veneer finish. The Mulliner split-color seats are complemented by thick carpets with contrasting micro-piping in the chosen highlight color. Continental GT passengers are also greeted by welcome lights when entering or exiting the vehicle.
The customization of the interiors can still be enhanced with the Diamond Knurling specification, which adds a detailed jewelry-like effect to the metallic elements of the instrument panel, while the Mood lighting specification controls the color and intensity of the lighting in the cabin and the Bentley Rotating Display offers a choice of three viewing options on the instrument panel. Other elements of the style packages include a chrome stripe on the panel and LED welcome lights, along with leather specification for the GT and GTC S versions.
The optional exterior style package, only available with the interior style package, maintains the color theme, with a sharp stripe on the exterior rearview mirrors as well as the lower blades of the bumpers and the sides.
What doesn’t change in the Bentley Continental GT, the latest Grand Tourer with a V8 engine, is precisely the engine, a twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 549 hp of power and a maximum torque of 770 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds.
