BYD has presented the new compact SUV, the Yuan UP, which for now will only be available for the Chinese market, starting in March. It has not yet been revealed whether the new model will arrive in Europe in the near future.
Based on the e-Platform 3.0, the Yuan UP measures 4.31 m in length, 1.83 m in width, and 1.68 m in height, with a wheelbase of 2.62 m.
According to BYD, the new Yuan UP, 100% electric, will be equipped with an electric motor with two power levels: 95 hp and 184 hp. The electric motor is powered by a 32 kWh or 45.1 kWh LFP battery, with a maximum range between 301 km and 401 km, respectively.
Inside, the highlights include the 8.8″ instrument panel, as well as the infotainment system screen that can be placed vertically, with 12.8″, along with a head-up display, leather perforated seats, and a central console with wireless smartphone charging base.
BYD has already announced that its new compact SUV will have a price for the Chinese market that makes it one of the most economical models in its segment, but it has not revealed whether the brand will make the new model available in European markets.
