Charley Hull delivered an impressive 6-under 66 in the final round of the Aramco Team Series in Riyadh, securing her first win in two years. The 28-year-old English golfer finished the event at 18-under, three strokes ahead of Denmark’s Nicole Broch Estrup. Hull’s strong showing on the Ladies European Tour (LET) underscores her resilience, following a shoulder injury earlier in the year, and caps a season marked by consistency and close finishes on both the LPGA and LET circuits.
“I felt really sharp, I played very solidly today,” Hull said after her win. “I made a bogey on the par-5 17th and the par-3, but that was just two three-putts. So quite long putts, in all fairness, and they got away from me a little bit, but felt like I held my game together pretty well. And 18 under for three days is a pretty good score.”
Hull’s victory comes amid a solid season that saw her claim high finishes in recent LPGA events and dominate Nelly Korda in the Solheim Cup. Since a T-19 finish at the Kroger Queen City in September, Hull has recharged in England and is now looking ahead to two upcoming LPGA events in the U.S., including The Annika and the CME Group Tour Championship.
“I feel like my game’s been pretty good all season,” Hull said. “I’ve been knocking on the door quite a lot over the past couple years and this week it all came together. I feel good. I’m going to get a hot chocolate [to celebrate], that’s about as exciting as it gets for me.”
Hull’s win in Riyadh brings her LET titles to four, with her last win on the LPGA dating back to 2022. The English star, who has garnered eight runner-up finishes since her previous victory, shared plans to wrap up her season with the LPGA Tour Championship before a much-anticipated break over the holidays.
In Riyadh, Chiara Tamburlini of Switzerland made her own history, becoming the first Swiss golfer to secure the LET Order of Merit with her T-7 finish. The 24-year-old joins an elite list as the seventh player to win both the Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year in the same season.
This Aramco Team Series tournament marked the final event in the $1 million Saudi-backed series organized by Golf Saudi. The LET’s partnership with Saudi Arabia remains controversial, with human rights concerns often casting a shadow over the tournament.
“I’ve been knocking on the door quite a lot over the past couple years, and this week it all came together,” Hull said of her recent form and determination.
