The Dallas Cowboys, known as “America’s Team,” have a massive following both in the United States and around the globe. Despite not winning a Super Bowl since the 90s, the Cowboys remain incredibly popular, with fans and media closely monitoring their every move during the season and offseason. However, according to Chris Broussard of FOX Sports, there are three professional sports teams in the United States that can be considered “America’s Team” or at least fall into the same category. Broussard believes that the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Yankees, along with the Cowboys, hold this distinction. He argues that the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, do not belong in this elite group. Broussard compares the Chiefs to Jordan’s Bulls, stating that the three true “America’s Teams” are the Yankees, Lakers, and Cowboys. Both the Lakers and Yankees have a rich history of success, with the Lakers tying the Boston Celtics for the most NBA titles at 17 and the Yankees boasting an impressive 27 World Series titles. In contrast, the Cowboys have only won five Super Bowls, significantly fewer than their counterparts.
