Last Wednesday, Red Bull announced the completion of the internal investigation into team principal Christian Horner, which cleared him of any improper behavior he was accused of. However, the case is not yet over.
The Associated Press reports the receipt of an email sent by an anonymous person, containing access to a Google Drive folder with WhatsApp messages and other evidence against Horner. This was allegedly sent to about 200 people in the paddock, including Liberty Media, the FIA, and the other team principals. However, the authenticity could not be verified.
The Red Bull official has already responded, continuing to deny any kind of improper conduct: ‘I will not comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied these accusations. I respect the integrity of the independent investigation and have fully cooperated with every step along the way. It was a thorough and fair investigation conducted by an independent specialized lawyer and it was concluded, dismissing the complaint. I remain fully focused on the start of the season.’
