The futuristic design model, first presented in 2019, has generated a real popularity phenomenon in the last four years, currently having a pre-order portfolio with over 1.9 million customers. And with a maximum production capacity of 375,000 units per year at the Gigafactory Texas, having such an extensive list of interested parties will imply an equally… endless waiting time!

Now, concerned about stopping the inflated sale of the first Cybertrucks to hit the market, Tesla has included a new clause in the contract that prevents resale in the first year of ownership, allowing the brand to “demand compensation for liquidated damages in the amount of $50,000, or the consideration received for the sale or transfer”. The terms of the Cybertruck purchase contract also provide that offending resellers may be prevented from buying Tesla vehicles in the future.
