Piero Ferrari’s preference for Leclerc is surprising considering Hamilton’s seven championships and his superior performance in the previous season. However, Hamilton remains optimistic about his final campaign with Mercedes, even though the team’s car, the W15, is not expected to be as competitive as Red Bull’s dominant RB20. Hamilton will work with his current race engineer before transitioning to a new team in Maranello.
