The average weekly price calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE) registered a 0.9% increase for gasoline and a 1.3% decrease for diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal.
According to the ERSE report, released this Monday, the efficient price registered an update, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for regular gasoline by +2% and for regular diesel by -2.7%;”.
Therefore, “for the week of April 22 to 28, the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.938 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.893 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente stands at €1.864 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.644 for regular diesel”.
It is worth noting that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their respective maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic reserves and security of the National Petroleum System, extra costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the Public Selling Prices announced on the signs, and reported in the Energy Single Counter, was 0.9 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 3.2 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “95 octane gasoline was announced on billboards 0.5% above the Efficient Price and simple diesel was announced 1.9% above,” as reported by the ERSE report.
