2023 GMC Sierra 3500: A Beast on Wheels
Prepare to be amazed by the sheer power and capabilities of the 2023 GMC Sierra 3500. This incredible machine can effortlessly tow up to a staggering 36,000 pounds (16,329 kilograms) when equipped with the mighty L5P Duramax engine. Not only that, but it also boasts an impressive maximum payload capacity of 7,442 pounds (3,376 kilograms). Move aside, Tesla Cybertruck, because this beast is here to steal the show!
But it’s not just the performance that will leave you in awe. Sherwood Customs has worked their magic on this six-wheeled monster, giving it a jaw-dropping makeover. Gone are the days of flashy chrome accents. Instead, the mirror cases, bumpers, fenders, door handles, and window trim have all been transformed with a sleek gloss black finish.
To complete the menacing look, even the turn indicators on the fenders have been painted black, seamlessly blending in with the rest of the vehicle. The logos, once proudly displayed, have also been darkened. And let’s not forget about the massive custom radiator grille at the front, finished in glossy black, accompanied by the stock LED lights and a new front bumper to match.
But it’s not just about appearances. This Sierra 3500HD now rides on 24-inch Cali Invader multi-spoke wheels, coated in black powder, and fitted with 37-inch Venom tires. The ride has been further enhanced with new shock absorbers, ensuring a smoother experience. And thanks to the 6.5 BD lift kit, this beast now stands even taller, distancing itself from the ground. The stock ground clearance of 11.82 inches (300 millimeters) is a thing of the past.
Coming straight from the Fort Wayne assembly plant in Roanoke, Indiana, the standard 3500 HD Dually Crew Cab measures 205.08 inches (6,352 millimeters) in length. However, with the addition of the custom front bumper, it has surely gained a couple of extra inches. Unfortunately, there is no footage from inside the truck, but one can only imagine that the chrome has vanished from the cabin as well, creating a dark and mysterious atmosphere.
While there is no information regarding any engine upgrades, it is safe to assume that the blacked-out GMC Sierra 3500 HD Dually retains its formidable power. It is still available with either the 6.6-liter V8 petrol engine, delivering 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, paired with the six-speed Hydra-Matic auto box, or the 6.6-liter turbo-diesel, producing a mighty 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque, mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. No matter which option you choose, this vehicle is a true force of nature, both on and off the road.
