The Geneva Motor Show 2024 is back after a five-year hiatus, but with the absence of some major European and Japanese brands.
Nevertheless, there will be no shortage of interesting features at the event, which will take place from February 26th to March 3rd. The show will have the guaranteed presence of Renault, Dacia, BYD, MG, Lucid, Isuzu, Pininfarina, and other smaller volume brands such as Kimera, Microlino, Silence, and Totem Automobili, which are part of a list of 29 exhibitors.
The Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) aims to “increase the number of brands present” in the coming years, said the organization’s president, Alexandre de Senarclens, in statements to “Autocar,” acknowledging the absence this year of all Stellantis Group brands, as well as VW Group and Hyundai Motor Group, among others.
“We want to become the world’s leading international motor show again,” he emphasized. “We had a very important place in this industry before, and we want to regain it.”
