Honda announced the recall of approximately 2.6 million vehicles in the United States due to a fuel pump failure that can cause the engine to stall.
The recalled vehicles include SUVs, jeeps, and vans, whose fuel pump may fail and, if this occurs while driving, can suddenly cause the vehicle to lose power or become stranded.
The Japanese manufacturer revealed that the models in question include the Accord, Civic, and Fit, as well as the luxury brand Acura’s MDX, although Honda has assured that it has not received any reports of accidents related to the defect, as reported by the Japanese news agency Kyodo.
