In a fierce condemnation, Iran has accused the United States and United Kingdom of direct complicity in supporting Israel’s alleged crimes in Palestine and Lebanon through their ongoing military actions in Yemen. According to Esmail Baqaei Hamaneh, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the recent US and UK airstrikes on Sana’a and Sa’ada represent gross violations of international law and the UN Charter, particularly regarding the prohibition of force and respect for territorial integrity.
Hamaneh asserted that these strikes highlight the US and UK’s deeper involvement in regional tensions, claiming that their actions are part of a broader agenda to destabilize West Asia in support of the Zionist regime. Iran further linked the attacks to the ongoing humanitarian crises in Palestine and Lebanon, accusing the Western powers of fueling the Israeli regime’s genocide and war efforts in the region.
Despite these aggressive actions, Iran praised the Yemeni people’s unwavering solidarity with the resistance movements in Palestine and Lebanon. Hamaneh emphasized that the US and UK strikes would not deter Yemen from standing alongside these oppressed nations, insisting that the efforts to dismantle Yemen’s infrastructure will only reinforce regional unity against Western interference.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry warned that these “reckless actions” will further escalate insecurity in the region, signaling a dangerous shift in Western policies and their alignment with Israel’s objectives. The condemnation comes at a time of heightened regional instability, with Iran framing the situation as part of a broader geopolitical battle over the future of Palestine and Lebanon, while accusing the West of enabling Israeli aggression.
