BOSTON CELTICS STRUGGLE AGAINST LOS ANGELES TEAMS
The Boston Celtics continue to face challenges when playing against Los Angeles-based teams. Following a devastating loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, they were unable to keep up with the Los Angeles Lakers, who were missing their star players. Despite being on the road and without LeBron James and Anthony Davis due to injuries, Darvin Ham’s team dominated the game from start to finish.
Jaylen Brown, a key player for the Celtics, emphasized the team’s commitment to holding each other accountable after every loss. Brown stated, “We don’t sugarcoat it,” highlighting the team’s determination to address their shortcomings. The Celtics understand the importance of improving in such situations.
Over the years, the Celtics have often played below their potential when facing weaker opponents. Questions have arisen about the leadership abilities of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown as a duo. While their playing style is not in question, there are concerns about their ability to guide the team through challenging periods. Despite their youth, Tatum and Brown have been in the league for a significant amount of time and have gained valuable experience in high-pressure situations. Therefore, the excuse of their inexperience no longer holds weight.
Losing games in the NBA is not uncommon, but this recurring trend is worrisome for a team that has come close to winning an NBA championship for nearly 15 years.
