In a snarky jab at his former boss, John Bolton, Donald Trump’s ex-national security adviser, suggested that while Trump isn’t a fascist, it’s not exactly a compliment. During an interview on CNN, Bolton quipped that Trump lacks the intellectual depth to embrace fascism.
“To be a fascist, you need a philosophy. Trump’s not capable of that,” Bolton said, going on to mock Trump’s attention span, adding, “He couldn’t even read all the way through Mein Kampf.” Despite the humor, Bolton didn’t downplay the dangers of another Trump presidency, urging voters to focus on the real risks Trump poses, even without a fascist label.
