Marc Marquez, Gresini Ducati rider, explained the reason for his crash during the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas. According to Marquez, the incident was caused by an unexpected issue with the brakes on his bike. Marquez, known as ‘the King of COTA’, had been performing well throughout the weekend, securing a place on the front row in third during qualifying. He took the lead on lap 11 with an impressive pass over Pedro Acosta, a rookie riding for the satellite KTM GasGas team. However, his lead was short-lived as he crashed at turn 11 of the same lap. Marquez attributed the crash to a problem with the front brake when he applied pressure to the bike’s lever. Despite the disappointment, Marquez expressed satisfaction with his performance and emphasized the importance of resolving the brake issue for future races. He highlighted moments during the race where he felt a lack of pressure when braking, especially in turns 11 and 12. Marquez hopes that his team will analyze the data and make the necessary improvements for the future.
