The RB20 has struggled to consistently deliver strong performance throughout this year. Christian Horner and Max Verstappen (Via: Imago) Red Bull had a fantastic start to the 2024 season, building on their dominant 2023 campaign. However, the team’s performance started to decline and they suffered several losses. In response to this, Verstappen expressed his trust in the team to bounce back and perform better.
Max Verstappen has not shied away from highlighting the challenges that Red Bull has faced this year. The Dutch driver had previously acknowledged that matching their dominant performance from 2023 would be difficult. However, he is currently facing tough competition from rival drivers on the track. Despite this, Verstappen remains familiar with the driving styles of his competitors and has not encountered many difficulties adapting to them. The 2023 season saw Red Bull deliver exceptional performances, allowing Verstappen to break multiple records.
However, he acknowledges that expecting the same level of competitiveness as the previous season is unrealistic. Nevertheless, Verstappen still enjoys the previous season and hopes to replicate that level of performance. Red Bull has been continuously introducing upgrades since the start of the season in order to improve their performance. However, they are consistently falling behind McLaren and other rivals in the championship standings. Therefore, the remaining races of the season will be used to gather valuable insights for the upcoming season and enhance their performance.
