The current world champion expressed joy at his teammate’s recent contract extension at Red Bull Racing. The Mexican driver signed a two-year contract extension after a long period of speculation about his future.
Perez joined Red Bull in 2021 and has performed adequately for the team. However, doubts about the 34-year-old driver’s future arose at the end of last year, after a challenging season where he finished 290 points behind Max Verstappen.
The Mexican driver has consistently put the team’s interests before his own and has repeatedly demonstrated his value to the team. As a result, the Milton Keynes-based team has recognized his contributions and offered a two-year contract extension, keeping him with the team until the end of 2026.

Perez had a strong start to the current season, securing four podiums in five races. However, his performance dipped in the Miami, Imola, and Monaco races. Now, he will look to bounce back from his setbacks at the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix, as he seeks his first win of the 2024 season.
