Jack Miller claims that KTM deceived him by assuring him a spot on the team for the 2025 season, only to inform him at the last minute that they had hired Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales instead. Miller had lost his spot on the factory team when KTM promoted Pedro Acosta. He had hoped to join the Tech3 satellite team, but that option was closed when they announced the signing of Bastianini and Vinales. Miller expressed his surprise and disappointment with how things unfolded. He defended his contributions to KTM, stating that he had joined the project with the intention of staying for more than two years. However, he acknowledged that the bike had reached a development limit and further progress was limited. Despite his dissatisfaction, Miller believes he can secure a spot on the MotoGP grid for 2025 and is prioritizing that over exploring options in the World Superbike Championship. He mentioned the possibility of returning to Ducati and Gresini as potential options. Miller emphasized that he does not see himself as a test rider and wants to continue competing. KTM’s announcement also confirmed the departure of Augusto Fernandez from the team and likely from MotoGP as a whole. Fernandez acknowledged the need to find another seat and is focused on achieving good results in the remaining races.
