Nissan will launch five new electrified models in China by 2026, four of which were now presented at the Beijing Auto Show and feature an original light signature.
The models revealed, already very close to the production versions, are the Epoch sedan and the Epic SUV with 100% electric powertrain, joined by the Evo sedan and Era SUV, both plug-in hybrids. The four models have in common an innovative diagonal light signature.
The Nissan Epoch concept is a fully electric sedan that the brand says is aimed at “urban and suburban entrepreneurs who want to improve their lifestyle with design and technologies.” The Epoch is packed with Artificial Intelligence technology, featuring a virtual assistant that recognizes the driver’s emotions.
The Epic concept is a fully electric SUV aimed at “adventurous couples who like to explore cities on weekends.” The model, with dimensions similar to the Qashqai, offers autonomous driving and can serve as a power source to power small equipment.
The interior is equipped with three screens, comfortable seats with cushions for rear passengers, creating a relaxing atmosphere.
Among the plug-in hybrids, the Era Concept is aimed at urban lifestyles and is suitable for “young entrepreneurs who treat their car as a second home.”
With a design very similar to the Epic, this SUV features a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines with Nissan’s e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system and active pneumatic suspension for a comfortable ride.
Finally, the Evo Concept is a sedan that Nissan says is “perfect for weekend getaways and creating special moments for the whole family.” In addition to a high list of driving aids, this model offers an enhanced virtual personal assistant powered by Artificial Intelligence that helps provide appropriate routes for desired trips.
Nissan has revealed that the final models of these prototypes, destined for the Chinese market, will go into production in 2026.
