McLaren’s performance has been exceptional in the first half of the 2024 F1 season. The talented Australian driver has delivered numerous outstanding performances and even achieved his first victory in the sport at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
During the current summer break, Oscar Piastri has taken the opportunity to reflect on the first half of the season. Personally, Piastri is satisfied with his own performances.
At the age of 23, Piastri has accumulated an impressive 167 points in the Driver’s Championship.
Piastri has experienced a remarkable upward trajectory in the world of motor racing. Additionally, his consistent results have greatly contributed to McLaren narrowing the gap to Red Bull in the Constructors standings.
Although Piastri has performed well in 2024, he has often been outperformed by his teammate, particularly in qualifying sessions. Nevertheless, the young Australian remains unfazed as he believes the gaps in qualifying have not been significant.
Both Piastri and Norris are among the youngest drivers on the current grid. Their exceptional skills behind the wheel of an F1 car make the remaining 10 races of the season highly intriguing. In future races, we may witness a situation similar to the one at the Hungaroring, where the McLaren drivers and their team will face challenging decisions.
