Red Bull has displayed clear signs of struggle across various tracks and conditions this season against rival teams. Max Verstappen, Helmut Marko, and Christian Horner have shown signs of subtle vulnerability despite leading the championship this season. The team powered through the first ten races in 2024, winning seven of them. However, they have not been victorious since the Spanish GP in July.
The technical director of Red Bull Racing has expressed disappointment with the team’s performance in the first half of the season. The team’s RB20 has not been as dominant as their championship-winning RB19 from the previous year.
According to Wache, the team has achieved desired outcomes in some aspects but has been unsuccessful in others. They have struggled to compete with McLaren and Mercedes around high-speed corners.
Red Bull will now regroup and address their issues in order to find solutions for their challenges this season. The remaining races will be a tough test as they aim for a fourth consecutive title by the end of 2024.
Former British racer Herbert has praised RB driver Tsunoda for his improving performance this season. Tsunoda has scored 22 points for RB, while his teammate has only managed 12.
Herbert has strongly criticized Daniel Ricciardo and believes that he is not worthy of racing for Red Bull. Instead, he supports Yuki Tsunoda as a deserving candidate for promotion to the main team from RB.
Tsunoda has signed a multi-year deal with RB, committing his future to the Red Bull family. He will continue to selflessly contribute to the team, with hopes of earning a seat with Red Bull in the coming years.
