Renault has announced that it will invest €350 million in Brazil to manufacture a new SUV for the Latin American markets, which will be produced at the Curitiba factory.
According to the statement, the French automotive group explained that this new model of the C-SUV segment will have a hybrid engine option, which will also be manufactured at the Ayrton Senna complex in the state of Paraná, where the brand has two production units. However, Renault did not reveal details of the new model or the launch date for the new SUV for the Latin American markets.
The investment now announced is part of Renault’s plan to launch three new C-segment SUVs for international markets between 2024 and 2027.
“After the presentation of the Kardian, we are pleased to announce the launch of this second premium segment product, which will be manufactured in Brazil and exported to all of Latin America,” emphasized Luiz Fernando Pedrucci, executive director of Renault for Latin America.
